AI Policy & Responsible AI Principles
Effective Date: March 22, 2026 | Last Updated: March 22, 2026
Our Commitment
At Genpire, artificial intelligence is not a feature — it is the foundation of how we help brands, designers, and manufacturers move from idea to factory. With that power comes responsibility. This document outlines how we govern, operate, and continuously improve the AI systems embedded in our platform, and the principles that guide every decision we make about AI.
1. AI Governance
Genpire maintains active oversight over the AI models deployed on our platform. Our governance approach includes:
- Model selection and evaluation. We select AI providers — currently including Google (Gemini), OpenAI, Perplexity and Anthropic — based on their safety standards, reliability, and alignment with enterprise requirements. We review these relationships on an ongoing basis.
- Scoped deployment. Our AI is narrowly scoped to design-to-production workflows — product ideation, technical specification, and manufacturing documentation. We do not deploy general-purpose AI in contexts where accuracy and accountability are critical without appropriate safeguards.
- Output versioning and audit trails. All AI-generated outputs on the platform are logged and traceable. Users and administrators can review, edit, and override any AI-generated content at any point.
- Human-in-the-Loop (HITL). Human review is a native and encouraged step in every Genpire workflow. AI-generated tech packs and specifications are designed to be reviewed, refined, and approved by qualified humans before they are used in production.
2. AI Safety & Risk Management
We take a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks associated with AI use on our platform:
- No autonomous high-stakes decisions. Genpire AI does not autonomously approve, dispatch, or execute production orders. All consequential actions require explicit human confirmation.
- Content safety. Our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits the use of Genpire's AI for generating counterfeit designs, infringing trademarks, or creating harmful content. Violations may result in immediate account suspension.
- Misuse prevention. We implement rate limiting, access controls, and anomaly monitoring to detect and prevent misuse of AI capabilities.
- AI limitations disclosure. We are transparent with users that AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies, and we actively prompt users to apply professional judgment before any output reaches a factory or supplier.
3. Data Protection & Privacy
- No training on customer data. Genpire does not use your designs, product data, uploads, or inputs to train AI models — ours or our providers'. This is enforced contractually with all AI subprocessors.
- Data isolation. Customer workspaces are logically isolated. Your product data, brand assets, and tech packs are not accessible to other users or organizations on the platform.
- Encryption. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest using industry-standard encryption.
- Subprocessors. Genpire works with a limited set of AI and infrastructure subprocessors, including Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Supabase, and Stripe. All subprocessors are bound by data protection agreements. A full subprocessor list is available upon request.
- Data residency. Data is processed within secure cloud infrastructure. For enterprise customers with specific data residency requirements, we are prepared to discuss custom arrangements.
4. Responsible AI Principles
We hold ourselves to the following principles in how we design and operate AI on the platform:
- Transparency. We disclose which AI providers power our platform. We do not obscure the role of AI in generating outputs, and we require that AI-generated content be reviewed before production use.
- Accountability. Every AI output is attributable, editable, and overridable. Genpire does not shift responsibility for output quality solely to AI systems — we hold ourselves accountable for the tools we provide.
- Fairness. We work to ensure our AI systems do not embed or amplify bias in design recommendations, supplier matching, or any other workflow on the platform.
- Privacy by design. Privacy considerations are built into our product architecture, not bolted on afterward. We collect only the data necessary to deliver the service.
- Continuous improvement. We review our AI systems, governance practices, and output quality regularly. We welcome feedback from enterprise partners on areas where our AI practices should be strengthened.
5. Compliance Roadmap
Genpire is actively pursuing the following certifications and standards:
| Standard | Status |
|---|---|
| SOC 2 Type II | In progress |
| ISO 27001 | In progress |
| GDPR compliance | Active |
