An AI techpack is a complete production document generated from a prompt, sketch or photograph. It contains eight sections a factory needs before it can quote and build your product: a style summary, technical flats, a measurement chart, grade rules, a bill of materials, construction callouts, labelling and packaging details, and colourways. Most people meet the format before they meet the detail. Here is what actually sits on each page, and what a factory does with it.

1. Style summary

Style number, season, product category, base size, intended factory and revision date. It exists so that nobody on the production floor is working from a superseded file, which is the most common cause of a wrong sample arriving six weeks later.

2. Technical flats

Front, back and side views drawn to proportion, with detail callouts on pockets, closures and seams. Flats are not renders. A render shows what a product looks like; a flat shows how it is assembled. The distinction matters more than it sounds, because no factory can cut and sew from a render.

3. Points of Measure

A table listing every measurement, the exact point on the product where it is taken, and the tolerance permitted either side. Chest width, sleeve length, hem sweep, strap drop. Tolerance is the field people skip, and skipping it hands the decision to the factory, they will choose how close is close enough, and you will find out at sampling.

4. Size range and grade rules

Grade rules define how each measurement changes between sizes. A chest might grow 2 cm per size while a collar grows 0.5 cm. State your base size and the increment per point of measure, and a factory can produce the entire range from one set of numbers instead of asking you to spec every size individually.

5. Bill of Materials

Every fabric, trim and component, with composition, weight, colour, supplier and consumption per unit. Composition and weight matter as much as the material name. Your quote is calculated directly from this section, so a vague entry here becomes a wrong price later, and a renegotiation you did not budget for.

6. Construction and stitch callouts

Seam types, stitch class, seam allowance, topstitch spacing, finishing method. This is the section that converts a picture into a sequence of operations someone can follow. 7. Labels, trims and packaging
